Grants available for: Small groups and charities in the south of England
Size of grants given: £500 – £2,500 (up to £25,000 for registered charities, CIC and community benefit societies)

Aims of Fund
To support smaller charities and good causes in the south of England to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet.
Who can apply and how much can you apply for
Your organisation must have been operating for at least 1 year, and have signed accounts.
You can apply for £500 – £2,500 if you are a:
- Constituted voluntary group not registered with the charity commission
- Excepted or exempted charity
- Company limited by guarantee with an asset lock
- Parochial church council
You can apply for £500 – £25,000 if you are a
- charity registered with the Charity Commission (England) or OSCR (Scotland)
- Community Interest Company (CIC) with an asset lock
- Charitable community benefit society
- Parochial church council registered with the Charity Commission
What can you apply for
Your organisation’s aims and objectives must match at least one of the funding themes listed below:
- Enabling participation in physical activity
- Enabling participation in the arts
- Improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency
- Improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors
- Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
- Providing support to improve mental health
- Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality
You can only choose one of these themes in your application. Funding is all unrestricted.
They will give priority to:
- Funding for organisations with an annual income of £250,000 and below
- Funding for communities that rank as being within the top 15% on the English Index of Multiple Deprivation
- Funding for groups that are specifically set up to support people from the following minority/marginalised groups
- Communities Experiencing Racial Inequity
- Disabled people
- LGBT+ people

How to apply
Use the online application form which is available on their website during the times the fund is open.
They will be publishing an example application form on their webpage by the end of January 2025 too, which can be used for reference.
Deadlines for application
There are three funding rounds in 2025:
Round 1: 24th February 9am to 3rd March 12 noon
Round 2: 26th May 9am to 2nd June 12 noon
Round 3: To be confirmed later in 2025
