Grants available for: Small groups and charities in the south of England
Size of grants given: £500 – £2,500 (up to £25,000 for registered charities, CIC and community benefit societies)
Deadline: No remaining funding rounds in 2024. Details for 2025 will be announced early in the new year.
Aims of Fund
To support smaller charities and good causes in the south of England to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet.
Who can apply and how much can you apply for
You can apply for £500 – £2,500 if you are a:
- Constituted voluntary group not registered with the charity commission
- Excepted or exempted charity
- Company limited by guarantee with an asset lock
You can apply for £500 – £25,000 if you are a
- charity registered with the Charity Commission (England) or OSCR (Scotland)
- Community interest company (CIC) with an asset lock
- Charitable community benefit society
What can you apply for
Groups and projects that fall under the themes:
- Providing support to improve mental health
- Enabling participation in physical activity
- Enabling participation in the arts
- Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
- Supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality
- Improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency
- Improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors
You can apply for funding for:
- Project running costs
- Capital equipment
- Core organisational costs e.g. rent, staff salaries, governance and income generation costs
- Unrestricted funding, if your organisation’s aims have a clear link to one of the Trust’s themes
They will give priority to:
- Funding organisations with an annual income of £250,000 and below
- Funding for communities that rank as being within the top 15% on the English Indicies of Deprivation
- Funding for groups that are led by and provide services for people from the following minority/marginalised groups
- Communities experiencing racial inequity
- People with disabilities
- LGBT+ Community

Next deadline: to be announced early in 2025
Applications are only accepted during brief time periods and must be started and submitted within the submission window. For each round, this window will be a minimum of 24 hours, starting at 10am on the nominated date.
