Brighton Soup

Grants available for: Projects which benefit the local community in Brighton

Size of grants given: Varies – up to £1,000 for winners; up to £150 for runners up

Next deadline: Wednesday 3rd September

We host live events bringing local people and great ideas together to inspire community engagement. A bit like Dragon’s Den, but without the dragons – just a warm, friendly, supportive group of local people who want to make things better. And delicious soup.

Why soup? It’s a great economic way to feed a room full of people. Especially when you want all of the money raised from tickets and donations to go to the people doing the great work to better their community. Yes, all of the money goes to the projects.

Aims of Fund

Presenting at BrightonSoup is a great way to raise money for your project, build community support and make connections that can help you carry out your project.

With the event funds raised through tickets and donations, and thanks to generous contributors, the winning projects are getting about £1,000. The runners up also get a small contribution of around £100/150 – dependent on ticket sales.
