Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) or Charitable Company
If you have charitable aims AND want to be incorporated, you need to set up an incorporated charity.
There are two different ways of doing this: you can set up a Charitable Company or a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
Either of these structures will allow you to be seen as a charity by law, and to limit the liability of your trustees.
Because you don’t have an open membership, you should choose the Foundation Model if you decide to be a CIO.
