BMECP have office space to rent. Also have hot desks which can be rented for a fixed number of hours per month. These include access to filing space and a broadband connection, phone, computers and printers. They have cheap photocopying available. They can help BME groups with fundraising.

A network of community buildings managers from across the city, providing mutual support, sharing information and skills and giving a voice to those running and supporting our vital community spaces. The group meets regularly in community buildings around the city. Their website has a good map of venues for hire.

Community Works runs the following projects for the voluntary sector in Brighton & Hove:


They have an electronic voting system which is available to hire. This consists of hand-held pads which can be used by people in a meeting to vote. The results are then displayed instantly on a laptop. They also have a wooden ballot box, which groups can borrow.

ESCIS is an online database of community organisations and events across East Sussex and including Brighton & Hove. It holds searchable information on around 7,000 local organisations. Any local not-for-profit group can add themselves to the database. You can search by geographical area, keyword, type of group or service. The database includes Community venues for hire

This site can be used by local community groups in Brighton & Hove to publicise their activities.

People looking to join and activity or group can use it to search for something that they are interested in doing.

Monthly meeting of people involved in coops, but also open to individuals and groups doing cooperative work in the widest sense in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area.

Possability People also run It's Local Actually - an online tool that lets people search for services and group activities near them in Brighton & Hove. It contains details of local groups, community centres and statutory services. You can search using a map or look for a particular type of group (eg meeting people, sport, self-help).
They have an award winning Accessibility Guide which includes information about accessible services and buildings in Brighton and Hove.
They have a programme of training courses for businesses and charities, covering disability awareness, benefits, IT and group management skills.
