Pegasus Award funding available for children and young people’s activities in Coldean, Bevendean and Moulsecoomb

Grants of up to £500 are available via the Pegasus Award, which is being run with pupils at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA).

The aim is to support fun learning activities in Bevendean, Coldean and Moulsecoomb for young people (aged between 5 and 18 yrs old) so that they can be safe, stay fit and be connected to their community.

To be eligible, you must be able to agree to the following criteria:

  • Our organisation is applying for £500 or less
  • Our application will fund activities/work with young people aged between 5 and 18 years old
  • Our activities/work will take place in either the area/s of Bevendean, Coldean and / or Moulsecoomb
  • Our activities/work will be either new, additional or a development from our usual activity. (Funding cannot support existing/core salaries).
  • Our application is not for personal, unethical, illegal, religious worship or political purposes
  • Any funding received will be spent within 6 months of receipt

To apply, you need to complete a short form and  make a 2 minute video about your project. Pupils at BACA will vote to decide which projects get funded, based on the videos.

Applications must be submitted by 10th February 2016. Decisions will be made by 24th March 2016.
