One Voice, May 21st 2015- calling all community groups!
Local community members together with Brighton & Hove Council are organising an event called One Voice to coincide with the UN Day for Cultural Diversity.
- UN Day for Cultural Diversity is about sharing cultural customs with others and learning about other people’s cultural traditions.
- One Voice is a program of work in Brighton and Hove that is reconfirming the need for communities to work together and come together to tackle shared issues of concern such as radicalisation and extremism.
The event to be held is a celebration and will take place on
May 21st, 2-5pm at the Brighton Open Market
To make this day a special event the organisers would love to have some of our local communities share with others their cultural traditions and customs. This could include photos, art work, showing traditional clothing or items or demonstrating a particular craft or game. Unfortunately they cannot allow food on the stalls and cannot allow any items for sale.
- Stalls are free
- You can get your expenses refunded (eg. bus fares)
- If you would like photos/ pictures printed for your stall you can send them to the organisers and they will print them out for you
If you would like a stall or have any questions about the event please contact Cally on 01273 293006 or email@example.com. The stalls are filling up fast so please do get in touch if you are interested.
