Do you volunteer for a group or organisation that serves fresh meals for the community to enjoy together? We are offering shared meal/lunch club settings the opportunity to go on this essential training to learn about food safety and hygiene for free. This is a certified Food Safety Level 2 course delivered by David Taylor. http://www.davidtaylortraining.co.uk/ This is also a great chance to network and meet people who are working in a similar setting. There is one space available per organisation, let me know if you would like more than one person to attend and I will create a waiting list.
The course covers:
- Introduction to food safety
- Food safety hazards
- Temperature control
- Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding of foods
- Cooking, hot holding and re-heating of foods
- Principles of safe food storage
- Personal hygiene
- Cleaning and disinfection
- Pest control
- Legislation relating to food hygiene
